A man, suspected of robbery was gruesomely killed by a mob in broad daylight in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu on Tuesday.

A video which went viral showed the 45-year-old man screaming 'Chachi pothanu' (I will die) while he was beaten up.

Several men who were part of the mob screamed at him and told him to talk in either Tamil, Hindi or Telugu.

Many asked the mob not to hit the man but they were given no heed and he was beaten up badly.

The video also shows the man, who is currently unidentified, being forcefully tied up. He resists in the beginning but in the end, he gives in and is seen just lying on the road while his hands are tied up using a towel.  

The mob in the video can be heard saying, "See how he is not allowing us to tie his hands," while another is telling how it is difficult to tie his hands because he is holding on tightly.

The News Minute reports that an FIR has been filed against the mob under Section 304(II) (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
