Liverpool has their fate in their own hands when they host Napoli in the final Champions League group-stage fixture at Anfield on Tuesday.

Group C has played host to the most unpredictable series of matches with not a single team having been confirmed for the knockout round, and there is everything left to play for.

While PSG plays Red Star Belgrade, it is expected that they will beat the relatively weak opposition leaving either Liverpool or Napoli staring at a potential Europa League campaign.

The qualification scenario for Jurgen Klopp's men is complicated as they have to either win 1-0 or by a two-goal margin. A 2-1 or similar margin of victory will mean that the Reds will be knocked out of the competition.

Klopp will be further worried by the absence of his first-choice central defenders Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez meaning the home side will have to field Joel Matip alongside Virgil Van Dijk.

For Carlo Ancelotti's side defender, Vlad Chiriches and attacker, Simone Verdi will miss the trip to Anfield due to injury, though the likes of David Ospina, Raul Albiol, and Jose Callejon are due to return to the starting line-up.

Dries Mertens is also expected to lead the line for the Italian side.
