KVN Productions, the producer of Jana Nayagan has decided to withdraw the case against the CBFC at the next hearing before the single judge and approach the Revising Committee.
Thalapathy Vijay's team decided to approach the court after the CBFC informed them about the complaint and directed them to the Revising Committee. They believed the courts were the last place for democracy to prevail. But the process of the court is taking longer than the expected time. They tried their best, but continuing this case will cause indefinite delay even if they win in the end.
Producer Venkat said to be devastated by this time-consuming process and the losses he has had to endure. Some distributors asked for refunds of their investment on Jana Nayagan.
Nevertheless, he is staying strong and is also refunding any distributor who wishes to back out of the film. Recently, the Kerala distributor of the film has also been refunded.
