Father's Day is a special occasion celebrated on the third Sunday of June every year. This year, it falls on June 18. Father's Day celebrations range from planning a family getaway to gifting your dad something special. If it's the latter, then Flipkart has you covered this time around.
As a part of Father's Day Special offers, Flipkart briefly listed an ad teasing an iPhone 6 16 GB silver colour variant for Rs 2,999, reports the Indian Express. The mystery surrounding the price can be guessed, but the online retailer will reveal the big surprise on Wednesday midnight. The offer runs from June 8 till June 10, making it feasible for shoppers to get the phone delivered by Father's Day.
Currently, the iPhone 6 16GB silver variant is listed on Flipkart for Rs 36,499. The same model in the space grey shade is selling for Rs 24,990 – fetching a 32 percent discount on its MSRP. It is possible that Flipkart will match the price of Silver iPhone 6 to that of the Space Grey model for the Father's Day Special. But it's still a guess work until Flipkart officially confirms it.
If the colour doesn't really matter then the iPhone 6 Space Grey for Rs. 24,990 is quite a good deal. There's also no cost EMI facility on the phone, so you don't have to bear the burden of paying the full price upfront.
But if you are looking for the Gold colour option in the iPhone 6 16 GB, then you'll be disappointed as it is not available on the site. But the Silver variant is also a good choice for those who want something other than the common Space Grey colour.
Flipkart's special price for the iPhone 6 16 GB Silver colour variant will decide how well it will be received by the shoppers. If the online retailer can match the price of the Silver iPhone 6 with Space Grey variant, there will certainly be some attraction, but if the price goes lower than Rs. 24,990 then it's heading for a home-run.
