The 17th International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA 2016) was held at Madrid on June 25. The full show will be telecast on Colors TV on July 10 (Sunday) from 6 p.m. onwards. However, viewers can watch IIFA 2016 online as well.
IIFA 2016 was a grand event that witnessed some splendid performances by several popular Bollywood stars. The show was hosted by Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar who had made a hilarious entry into the venue, sitting on donkeys.
Apart from the award giving ceremony, big stars like Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, Sonakshi Sinha, Priyanka Chopra, and Tiger Shroff among others enthralled the audience with their power-packed performances. Also, the two hosts showed their funniest side that kept the audience rolling with laughter.
One of the most interesting moments in the event was Deepika almost acknowledging her love for rumoured boyfriend Ranveer Singh. After giving a brilliant performance, Deepika threw a flying kiss to Ranveer from the stage. This PDA moment between the two stars left the audience go awww.
Ranveer and Deepika were in the spotlight on the show for winning the best actor and best actress awards respectively. Salman's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" won the best picture award and the superstar turned the stage on fire with his performance. There are a lot of entertaining moments on the show that you do not want to miss.
While IIFA 2016 was full of glitz and glamour, absence of Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor was felt in the show. Big B could not turn up to the event as he was present at Pro Kabbadi League match, in which Abhishek Bachchan's team was playing. SRK and Ranbir were also spotted there, supporting Abhishek's team.
