Hero MotoCorp has recently launched its premium naked streetfighter model, the Xtreme 200R. On the sidelines of its launch, Hero also confirmed XPulse 200 is the next big launch from them and market entry is expected by the end of 2018 or early 2019.

Emerging reports indicated that Hero MotoCorp will price the XPulse 200 aggressively to take on arch-rival the Royal Enfield Himalayan.

A report in MotorOctane claims, Hero MotoCorp will restrict the price of the XPulse 200 lower than Rs 1 lakh. If the report is anything to go by, the XPulse 200 will be about Rs 1 lakh cheaper than the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The huge difference in price is may prompt many adventure bike enthusiast to choose XPulse 200 over the Himalayan.

Hero Xtreme 200R and Hero XPulse 200 will share the engine and most of the cycle parts. Since the former has been priced at Rs 89,900 (ex-showroom), there is a high possibility that XPulse 200 will also get similar aggressive pricing pattern.

The 200cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine in the XPulse 200 is expected to develop 18.2bhp at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 17.2Nm at 6,000rpm mated to a five-speed gearbox.
