As of now, the internet is filled with two kinds of theories — one talking about Avengers 4, and the other one is talking about the fate of all the characters in the upcoming season of Game of Thrones. When it comes to Game of Thrones season 8, one of the most asked questions is, will Jon Snow die at the end or survive the final battle against Cersei Lannister and the Night King?

Game of Thrones season eight is finally coming in 2019, and before its premiere on HBO, fans are eagerly waiting for the first trailer of the epic fantasy saga. At the same time, fans are eagerly waiting to see how and when Jon Snow will learn the truth about his lineage.

In Game of Thrones season seven, Jon's half-brother, Bran Stark learns that Jon was born Aegon Targaryen, the legitimate son and the true heir of Daenerys' brother Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. In the final scenes, Jon is also shown having sex with Daenerys, without having any knowledge that they are related by blood.

It will be interesting to see how Jon will learn the truth about his life and how it will affect his future as the King of the North and the love interest of Daenerys Targaryen.

Meanwhile, there are speculations that Jon Snow won't be able to survive until the end.

There have been some inventive fan theories that suggest that an imminent death awaits the fan-favourite character. For instance, if the theory of him being the Azor Ahai is true, then it is for sure that he has to die at the end.

Fans have also speculated that there are chances that Jon Snow is apparently not the real hero in the story. Author George RR Martin has also said in one of his recent interviews that he is "attracted to grey characters."

"If everybody thinks your character is a hero or if everybody thinks your character is a villain, then you are writing cardboards," he further said.

At the same time, a fan theory on Reddit has also pointed out that Jon is not the real hero. The Reddit user has pointed out the fight between the Night's Watch and Mance Rayder's army in Season 4.

"Our heroes, Jon, Sam & Co. need to protect Westeros and their lands from Northern invaders while the ever likeable and charismatic Mance needs to fight the Night's watch in order to go south or all wildlings will die by the hands of the Whitewalkers. Hard to root for any specific side in a battle between these two, isn't it?"

Fans will learn more about the fate of Jon Snow in Game of Thrones season 8.
