Criticism is all-pervasive and screen actors are more often than not an easy target. We are very well into the 21st century and yet all we seem to care about is how an actor looks onscreen.

An actor's job is to emote and perform scenes to make them seem as real as possible. The Flash actor Grant Gustin was recently body-shamed after a leaked photo of him wearing the latest Flash costume went viral on the internet.

The photo has been taken off the social media platforms, however, a lot is being said about it. Apparently, the fans do not like the without-chin-support mask for him.

However, Gustin has taken to Instagram to explain that the photo does not show the costume in its full glory and is a work in progress. He added that the viewers are sure to love it when they see it on the show.

Gustin also addressed the issue of body-shaming and discouraging those who did it. He assured that everyone should embrace who they are and still be loved and respected by others for it. The actor was angered by the jibes thrown at him for looking skinny and he tried diffusing it in the best way possible.

In his post, Gustin wrote that he had once gone for an audition which he believed was too difficult to crack. However, he did and no one cared much for his physique. He mentioned being under stress throughout the seasons, and hence, putting on extra kilos become a challenge for him.

In other news, Candice Patton (who plays Iris West) shared an Instagram story, in which Hartley Sawyer (Ralph Dibny) was seen having fun. What viewers noticed more was the screen behind Dibny, which had the Vibe's photo on display that went with the headline "VIBE DEA."

This triggered the idea that Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) might die in the fifth season. However, since there's a high chance of the Flash creating another flashpoint, he may be able to bring Ramon back. It may sound far-fetched but going back and forth in time seems to be the underlying theme of the upcoming season, considering that Nora Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy) is now stuck in the present.

The Flash Season 5 will air on October 9.
