The Flash may be a sci-fiction superhero TV show, but it does have its fair share of romance blended into the storyline.

On one hand, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) are happily married, while on the other hand, Detective Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) and Central City DA Cecile Horton (Danielle Nicolet) are raising a baby together.

Unfortunately, Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) had recently broken up with Cynthia Reynolds a.ka. Gypsy (Jessica Camacho) in Season 4, but he's holding up okay. H.R. (Tom Cavanagh) isn't the kind to invest his time in the mush, hence, he seems busy spending time with science and technology.

Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), who transforms into Killer Frost as and when required, is the one without love.

The man she married, Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell), died on the night of the particle accelerator explosion. While coping with the loss, she dated Hunter Zolomon/ Zoom (Teddy Sears) and then Doctor Alchemy (Tom Felton). Obviously, both gentlemen pretended to be friends with her at first, until she fell for their trap.

So, when does a person like that say enough is enough? Apparently, Panabaker completely rejected the idea of her character dating Ralph Dibny (Hartley Sawyer), who is also the Elongated Man in the show.

At the recently-concluded San Diego Comic Con, Sawyer shared the idea that Caitlin is better off being friends with Ralph rather than indulging in a romantic relationship that has never gone too well for her.

"People always thought it was going to be a romance because every year Caitlin dates the new white guy on the show. Immediately all of us talked about that. And we're like 'No' – she [Panabaker] put the kibosh on it quicker than anybody. She was like, 'No, I'm not doing that'," he further elaborated.

The cast, however, does not regret the decision of not pairing Ralph and Caitlin in Season 5. Sawyer further added that he thought it was "cool" that they care about each other and share this "platonic" love.

Last year, Panabaker was happy to talk about how Caitlin isn't in a relationship. She had said that it was good to be not defined by a man for a change. Her fans are also delighted that the character will finally do what she's best at and not simply date the first man that enters S.T.A.R Labs.
