English songwriter Ed Sheeran has made a comeback on social media exactly after one year he left the social media world. The singer-songwriter re-joined the social media world with a cryptic message giving a hint that he might release his third album.

Sheeran changed his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram profile pictures to a plain blue image on Tuesday, as he re-joined social media. This move gave rise to the speculations that he might release a new album soon. However, there has been no official announcement regarding the same.

The singer said goodbye to social media last year and announced that he would be "taking the opportunity... to travel the world and would see you all next Autumn". In his last Instagram post before going offline, he said he is working on his third album and it is the best thing he has done so far, but he has not mentioned anything about the album in his comeback post.

However, songwriter Amy Wadge, who has worked with Sheeran before and penned the lyrics of Thinking Out Loud, said that his third album will break the internet. "His album is done," she said, according to the BBC. Wadge worked with him this year and said, "all of this year he's been preparing for his next album."

Meanwhile, his fans are happy and excited to see the Thinking Out Loud back on social media. They even trended #EdSheeranIsBack after he returned on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Several of his fans even changed their profile pictures to the plain blue image to honour the singer.
