Jesse Williams is calling it quits with Aryn Drake-Lee after 13 years together and the couple, who haven't been seen together for months now, filed for divorce on April 24.
Neither Drake-Lee nor Williams has revealed why they are calling it quits, but that did not stop people from linking the Grey's Anatomy actor to Minka Kelly, who has been seen with the actor multiple times in the past few weeks. Williams and Kelly are working together on a project in Paris and this could be why they have been hanging out often.
Less than a year ago, Williams thanked his wife during his BET Awards speech, thanking her for being a strong support through his difficult times.
Talking about their decision to part ways, a source close to the couple told People that none of their friends saw this coming.
"Jesse lived for her. If you knew the couple they were back in Brooklyn, when he had dreads and a backpack and she was grinding doing real estate, you wouldn't believe it," explained the source, adding that the couple's decision to relocate to Los Angeles contributed to friction in their relationship.
"[Aryn] thought everyone was so different from their friends back in New York, and not as genuine. And Jesse was never really around because of work and she was always just with the kids. Still, we didn't see this coming."
Williams plays Jackson, a plastic surgeon, on ABC's medical drama Grey's Anatomy. Williams and Drake-Lee have two children -- daughter Sadie and son Maceo.
