Social media was abuzz with a picture of Deepika Padukone going viral that claimed it to be the actress' look in the movie Padmavati. However, it turned out to be a fake post.

A sketch of Deepika in a royal look was being shared on social media, and it was believed to be her first look in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati. Fans immediately believed it to be true, because it was first posted by a fake account by the name of Shruti Mahajan, who happens to be the casting director of the film Padmavati.

Calling the picture to be fake, Shruti took to Facebook and made a post. "This is to immediately clarify that the sketch floating of Deepika Padukone was not posted from my official account. It is a fake account and is not connected to me or the film whatsoever. The image floating is not Deepika's look in Padmavati. I would like to urge the media to check the authenticity of the account before publishing it. Reiterating that the 'revealed look' floating is nowhere like Deepika's look in the film and it's definitely not from me," she said in the post.

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmavati will present Deepika in the role of Rani Padmavati, who is known for her beauty and courage. The film also features Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji and Shahid Kapoor as Rana Rawal Ratan Singh. The film is slated to be released on November, 2017. Check the fake picture that had gone viral.

Deepika will also be seen in her Hollywood debut movie XXX: The Return of Xander Cage next year.
