Deepika Padukone shocks fans with de-glam avatar in upcoming movie; pictures go viral

Deepika Padukone shocked her fans with some of her pictures that went viral on social media. The actress is seen in a totally de-glam avatar as she was having a look-test for Iranian director Majid Majidi's upcoming movie.

Deepika, who will soon be seen playing the royal character of Rani Padmavati in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next film, has started working for Majidi's upcoming movie as well. The pictures from the sets of the film will leave her fans stunned.

Deepika is seen sporting a rural girl look, holding some clothes in a slum area. "It is an Indian story and will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi, parts of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Kashmir. It will take off towards the year end of early 2017 and is a signature Majidi film with new takes on relationships and emotional quotients," casting director Honey Trehan was quoted by SpotboyE as saying.

The film will reportedly be titled Dhobi Ghatt. Deepika certainly knows to played diverse roles as all her upcoming films will present her in quite different shades. First, she will be seen as Vin Diesel's love interest in XXX: The Return of Xander Cage, then she will sport the royal character in Padmavati and now another completely different shade has come up in pictures.

While her Hollywood debut movie will hit the screens next year January 19, she has already started shooting for Padmavati. The Bhansali film also features Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. Check the pictures of Deepika in Majidi's film:
