Real Madrid lost the first El Clasico of the calendar year 2017 against Barcelona on Sunday April 23 in a very harsh manner. The late goal by Barca hotshot Leo Messi not only stunned the crowd at the Santiago Bernabeu, but also helped the Argentine bag a personal milestone of scoring 500 goals in a FC Barcelona jersey.
Palpably, it was a torrid day for Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo who didn't even get on to the scoresheet as his nemesis stole all the limelight.
Cristiano's 22-year-old girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez had organised a special party for the footballer at his mansion, post the El Clasico, but following the defeat, Cristiano, 32, was left so frustrated that he not only refused to be a part of the party but also said her girlfriend brought bad luck, as per Portuguse tabloid Correio da Manha.
Now, with so many reports coming up already very frequently about the ongoing friction between the couple -- from Georgina being forced to quit her jobs to now, Cristiano calling her a harbinger of bad luck -- we can't but feel that if things continue going like this, their relationship might be heading for splitsville.
Cristiano and Georgina met in 2016 in the VIP area at a Dolce & Gabbana event in Madrid, Spain. It was since then that they started dating and finally went public with their relationship after some months.
The Spanish beauty has been spotted attending quite a lot of Real Madrid matches at the Santiago Bernabeu this season, and she was also seen getting on well with Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.
Georgina also accompanied the former Manchester United superstar to the Best FIFA Awards ceremony in Switzerland earlier this year, and was in attendance, cheering for her beau, as Cristiano bagged the Best FIFA Men's Player 2016, beating off competition from Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann.
Cristiano, meanwhile, had failed past relationships with Russian Victoria's Secret model Irina Shayk and former Miss Spain Desirée Cordero Ferrer.
