Trouble has struck Salman Khan's home production and his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma's debut movie Loveratri. A case has reportedly been filed against the superstar, the lead pair Aayush and Warina Hussain and some others associated with the film accusing them of hurting religious sentiments.

An advocate Sudhir Ojha has reportedly filed a case against Salman and people associated with the film at a Bihar court, accusing that the title of the movie hurts religious sentiments.

In the complaint, the advocate accused that the title Loveratri hurts religious sentiments as it is being released alongside the festival of Navaratri. Also, the movie promotes vulgarity, and insults Goddess Durga, he accused.

The complaint has been filed under IPC sections 295 (injuring or defiling place of worship), 298 (uttering words with deliberate intent to wound religious feelings), 153 (want only giving provocation with intent to cause riot), 153B (assertions, imputations prejudicial to national integration) and 120(B) (criminal conspiracy).

Meanwhile, some other right-wing parties have also been expressing opposition at the film's title. Salman recently reacted to the controversy, and said that there is nothing wrong in the title or in the film.

"Some people, I don't know who they are, have some problem with title of the film. It is a beautiful title. There is nothing more beautiful than love, so it is called 'Loveratri'. It is not demeaning any culture. Our prime minister is from that culture. So, when you play a character, like I played a sardar in a film or I played a Haryanvi in 'Sultan', I do it with a lot of respect," The Asian Age quoted Salman as saying.

"We are making the film with Navaratri in the backdrop. We have made this beautiful film celebrating music, colour, love and the fun of the festive season. We don't need any publicity like that. Once the film is released those people will know there is nothing," he added.

The film is slated to be released on October 5.
