Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were once in a happy and strong relationship. But the parents of six children are now in an ugly custody battle.
Back in 2016, there were alleged reports about an "incident" that reportedly went down on a private plane. The alleged episode reportedly involved Pitt and son Maddox Jolie-Pitt, Family services, and FBI. Many believe that because of the incident, Jolie filed for divorce. But in her 2017 interview, she made it clear that she does not wish to go on record about what happened that day.
As of now, the kids have been living in London as the Maleficent actress films her upcoming project. Thought, Brad Pitt is still based in Los Angeles, working alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie in Quentin Tarantino's next feature film.
As earlier reported, as a couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have six children together. Back in September 2016, when they announced their official separation, many wondered about the future of their kids. Given the fact that they both are wonderful parents, well-wishers were relieved a little. Back in June this year, a judge established a schedule for the actor to spend some quality time with his children except Maddox.
Circumstances took a drastic turn in the last week when Brad Pitt openly talked about the money he has given to his estranged wife since their separation.
Jolie's lawyers said in their recent court filing that Pitt has failed to live up to their informal financial arrangements and she will seek a court order for the same. A new story from TMZ cited a source stating that the actor is finding his estranged wife "hostile" in the divorce proceedings. In addition to this, he says he has given Angelina Jolie more than $1 million and lent her another $8 million since their separation.
After these reports surfaced, a source told Hollywood Life that Brad never imagined that his partner for more than a decade would be doing such things with him. The new claims made in court has left the Fight Club movie star in nothing but in shock.
"Brad was absolutely blindsided by Angelina's latest court filings. He has been putting the kids needs first, has been also busy working, so Brad had no idea Angelina would continue to file more court docs to increase pressure and tension on this already stressful, prolonged divorce."
The insider further revealed that Brad has always taken care of his responsibilities as a father and followed all the court orders without any delay or constraints. But he never thought that his estranged wife "could be this challenging."
