
Sunny Deol's Border 2 has made a fantastic collection at the Indian box office in its second weekend. The movie surpassed the Rs 300 crore mark in the domestic market on Sunday.
Having done a good collection in the first week, Border 2 witnessed a steep decline of 50 percent on its second Friday when compared to its opening day. Its collection was affected by Mardaani 3 and other new releases. But new films are getting negative reviews; the movie went on to show huge growth of 69 percent on its second Saturday. The film witnessed a further jump on Sunday.
Border 2 has collected Rs 24.22 crore net at the Indian box office on its second Sunday, taking its 10 day total to Rs 301.89 crore net in the domestic market. Border 2 has surpassed Rs 300 crore mark in the domestic market in 10 days. Taran Adarsh posted, "IT'S A TRIPLE CENTURY... #Border2 has hit the ₹ 300 cr milestone on its second Sunday [Day 10]... In fact, the Weekend 2 performance—especially on Saturday and Sunday—was simply fantastic."
The Sunny Deo and Varun Dhawan starrer has once again proved that content is the king. Taran posted, "The historic success of #Dhurandhar in Dec 2025 and the smashing triumph of #Border2 in Jan 2026 clearly prove that content-driven films can achieve magical numbers... And that too, in two consecutive months."
Border 2 is an epic action war film, which is set against the backdrop of the India–Pakistan war of 1971. The movie has been co-written and directed by Anurag Singh. The film stars Sunny Deol in the leading role, alongside an ensemble cast including Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. It has received positive reviews from critics and audiences, with many hailing it as a thunderous war epic that perfectly honors the legacy of the 1997 original.
