The teaser shows Ryan Gosling is back in action as he appears a bit injured smeared with blood. Harrison Ford is returning as Rick Deckard. Adding to that, the teaser introduces Robin Wright's unnamed character, as she says: There is an order to things. That's what we do here."

A new trailer for Blade Runner 2049 will be released on Monday following a live Q&A session on Facebook live with Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, and director Denis Villenueve. It will be held on May 8, Monday at 9 am PT. Two character posters were unveiled a few days ago featuring the leading actors Gosling and Ford.

Here's the official synopsis of the film:

Thirty years after the events of the first film (Ridley Scott's original film), a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what's left of society into chaos. K's discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

While hinting about the storyline of the new movie, Ryan Gosling told to Entertainment Weekly, "It's a continuation of the story, so if you're a fan of the original film, it takes the original story and sort of follows that through."

The La La Land actor also added, "It's the same iconic universe, but it's changed over the course of the 30-year gap. It's a lot more bleak in some ways. The director describes it as toxic. But it's still the Blade Runner universe."

Directed by Denis Villeneuve (Arrival helmer), Blade Runner 2049 cast features Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Jared Leto, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, and Lennie James also feature. The film will hit theatres on October 6, 2017.
