Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara on Wednesday dismissed rumours about Congress MLAs joining the BJP and said that these were just speculations being floated by the BJP.

"This is all speculations as I say there is absolutely no problem. No MLA will go out of Congress and govt is safe and stable. As we have promised we will give good governance to the people of the state," ANI quoted Parameshwara as saying.

Rumours were rife that Congress MLA Satish Jarkiholi is planning to join the BJP. Parameshwara told Economic Times that he had spoken to Jarkiholi and the rumours that he will join the BJP were false.

Blaming the BJP for trying to destabilise the coalition government in the state, Parameshwara said that the party was spreading rumours about sections of Congress MLAs were ready to join the BJP. He assured that the coalition government was working smoothly and will complete its five-year term.
