The first season of Bigg Boss Marathi just got over, while Kamal Haasan's Bigg Boss Tamil as well as Bigg Boss Telugu and Bigg Boss Malayalam are still on. And now it's time for the original Bigg Boss in Hindi, hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, to air its latest season on Colors. The first promo of Bigg Boss 12 (Hindi) was revealed by Raj Nayak of Colors on Sunday, Aug 13.

Salman Khan is back as the host in the twelfth season of the reality show Bigg Boss. He has been by far the favourite host of Bigg Boss, which has had other hosts like Arshad Warsi (the first season on Sony Entertainment Television), Amitabh Bachchan and Shilpa Shetty.

There has been no other host since Salman Khan took over. It is because Salman Khan maintains a good balance between an authoritative tone and his goofiness on Bigg Boss.

Raj Nayak of Colors posted the Bigg Boss 12 promo on Twitter and Facebook, saying, "The wait has come to an end! @BeingSalmanKhan is coming back soon on @BiggBoss season 12 only on @colorstv".

The first promo or teaser of Bigg Boss 12 shows Salman Khan as a teacher taking the attendance of his class. As the students attend the roll call, it is revealed that Bigg Boss 12 contestants will consist of jodis or pairs in the house, be it twins, mother-daughter, or single contestants like an electrician, a rapper and so on.

The jodi theme of Bigg Boss 12 was announced during the auditions of the show earlier this year. The theme this year is to make the show more interesting and controversial. In spite of allowing commoners inside the house in Bigg Boss 10, and having a theme of 'padosis' or neighbours in the last season that is Bigg Boss 11, the ratings of the Salman Khan show were not very exciting.

The 12th season of Bigg Boss is trying out something new to increase the ratings of the show on television. Contestants in the form of pairs will mean there will be more fights and run-ins inside the Bigg Boss house!

Bigg Boss 12 will be telecast September 16, 2018 onwards on Colors.
