SS Rajamouli's highly-anticipated movie "Baahubali – the Beginning" (Bahubali) has opened to humongous response, and is expected to register a record amount of collection at the worldwide box office on the first day of its release.

"Baahubali – the Beginning", which stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah and Anushka Shetty in the leads, is Part 1 in the two part epic drama and has been creating headlines for several reasons ever since its announcement. The makers have adapted several unique promotional strategies to launch its making videos, teasers, posters, trailers and music.

Made on a whopping budget of 250 crore, "Baahubali – the Beginning" has simultaneously been shot in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed in Malayalam and Hindi. The promos of all these languages have garnered huge amount of attention not only in India, but also in the international markets. 

After seeing the overwhelming response, makers made elaborate arrangement for the release of "Baahubali – the Beginning" by booking over 4000 screens across the globe. Strangely, this screen count, which is a record number for a south Indian film, looked small when all the tickets for the first day sold out like hot cakes within a day of the opening of advance booking facility.

"Baahubali – the Beginning" was premiered in the international markets and the movie has registered earth-shattering response with its collection crossing $1+ million at the USA box office alone, which a new record in the history of Indian cinema. The premiere of its Hindi version, which was held in Mumbai on Thursday night, has garnered great response. The film has got positive talk from viewers everywhere.

The benefit shows of "Baahubali – the Beginning" began as early as 4.00 am in some place in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Though the tickets were priced as high as Rs 4000 to Rs 8000, all the tickets were sold out well in advance. The cinema halls witnessed unprecedented crowd even at the wee hours.

The first regular show of "Baahubali – the Beginning" began at 6.30 am in many centres in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and some of other parts of India and all the theatres ran to packed houses. The shows at 10.00 am and 12.30 pm also had 100% occupancy. Many theatres displayed houseful boards, and many film goers did not get tickets for the film.

"Baahubali – the Beginning" has got 100% booking for afternoon and evening shows as well. As per early trends, the movie will collect over ₹30 crore at the worldwide box office on the first day, becoming the biggest opener of 2015 in Indian cinema.
