SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 is set to rewrite history at the Indian box office. The movie, which will hit the screens in four languages on Friday, April 28, is releasing in over 6,500 screens worldwide. The flick starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati faces no competition from any other films across the country, further consolidating the prospect of an earth-shattering opening.

Baahubali 2 Tamil Movie Review

The first instalment of Baahubali had grossed over Rs 70 crore on the opening day. The movie was released in over 4,200 screens and had struck gold in Andhra, Telangana, Karnataka and the US. The Malayalam and Hindi versions were also received well on the back of massive promotions.

Baahubali had collected over Rs 30 crore in Andhra and Telangana, over Rs 9 crore in Karnataka and above Rs 11 crore from the rest of India to cross Rs 50-crore mark at the domestic box office on the first day.

The second instalment is expected to break the opening day records with ease. The trade experts said the increased ticket rates and screen counts will help movie to rake in big moolah. According to them, the movie is likely to mint over Rs 150 crore on the first day at the worldwide box office.

The trade experts are betting high on Andhra/Telangana and Karnataka markets. As always, the US is expected to do wonders for the Tollywood flick and the advance booking in North America points to a record turnover.

The first instalment of Baahubali had grossed over Rs 600 crore at the worldwide box office and the trade experts are expecting its sequel to do a better business than its prequel.
