The Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council (AHSEC) has announced Higher Secondary (HS) 2016 results on June 2, Thursday. Students who have appeared for the HS exams (Science, Commerce and Arts stream), also called Class 12 exams, can check their results at their respective schools/colleges or they can check it online at the official website of AHSEC.
Assam HS examinations were reportedly held in the months of February and March this year. The Assam board declared the results on Thursday at 10 a.m. Students can see their marks online by visiting the official website of AHSEC (www.ahsec.nic.in) after filling up the required details.
Students can also check their HS results by visiting another website (www.resultsassam.nic.in), however, there is no such declaration on the mentioned site. Around 2, 54, 860 students reportedly appeared for the HS examinations across the state in 2016.
There was a controversy surrounding the Class 12 Biology and Physics exams this year as question papers of the said subjects were leaked in February across some parts of Assam. Physics and Biology examinations were eventually postponed by a few days.
