Ahan Shetty is gearing up for the release of much anticipated 'Border 2'. Ahead of the film's release, Ahan spoke about how social media often pits actors against one another creating a divide which otherwise is not there. Suniel Shetty's son was speaking about 'Saiyaara' actor Ahaan Panday and how the two often get pitted against one another.
Lauding Ahaan, the 'Tadap' actor said that Panday had worked immensely hard for 'Saiyaara' and that there is no competition between them. He revealed that they both have their separate paths and journeys. He also said that he and Ahaan both have love and respect for each other but social media has created a divide, which makes celebs not come out to support each other openly.

Social media creates divide
"Today, people just react to what they see in a 2-3 second clip. That's what's happening in my generation. We're being put up against each other. I know there are comparisons between Ahaan Panday and me. I know that guy. I know how hard he's worked for his film and everything that he's done to prepare for it," he told Bombay Times.

Different journeys
Ahan went on to add, "There's no competition between us. We have our own careers. There is so much love and respect amongst each other, and that is what needs to come out. We're all one industry. Social media has created a divide, and that's why you don't see so much support for one another."
Ever since Ahan made his debut, he has been surrounded with the nepotism debate. Talking about it, Ahan said that he wholeheartedly accepts it as his father is an actor. But added that he doesn't let the noise hamper or get in the way of what he wants to do or how hard he works to achieve it.
Border 2 also stars Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan in lead roles. The film is slated to release on January 23.
