After having a good run without competition from big-banner movies for close to three weeks, a slew of new movies is going to take away many screens from 2.0. Thus slowing down its collection at the box office. This week, a few movies that include Vijay Sethupathi's Seethakathi and Sivakarthikeyan-produced Kanaa are hitting the screens.

2.0 was released in over 600 screens in Tamil Nadu on November 29 and retained a maximum number of screens although a series of low-budget movies were released every week. The movie did not face any competition and continued to rule the box office for three consecutive weekends. For the Christmas weekend, Kollywood is welcoming Seethakathi, Kanaa, Adangamaru, Maari 2, Silukkuvarpatti Singam and KGF (dubbed movie).

The big movies are fighting out to get the maximum number of screens for its release. And multiplexes and single screens will be having a limited number of shows for 2.0 this weekend and based on the viewers' response to the new releases, screens will be allocated for the Rajinikanth's film next week, say industry insiders.

Whereas outside Tamil Nadu, 2.0 is facing competition from Shah Rukh Khan's Zero in Bollywood, KGF in Karnataka and Andhra and a few Malayalam movies in Kerala.
