Season 2 of "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" will premiere in less than a week, and the show will see the return of some of your favourite queens, who will get another shot at winning the title of America's next drag superstar. Every episode of the competition will be aired simultaneously by Vh1 and Logo TV on all Thursdays starting Aug. 25.
Coco Montrese will be competing on "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" 2 along with Katya, Phi Phi O'Hara, Alaska Thunderf***, Tatianna, Roxxxy Andrews, Adore Delano, Ginger Minj, Detox and her rival from Season 5, Alyssa Edwards. This time around RuPaul has decided to give up control of who gets eliminated to the queens themselves. She will choose top 2 queens, who will lip sync for their legacy and the winner would send of her co-stars home.
As Tatianna puts it, in the trailer for the season, they will all have the chance of quashing the dreams of one of their friends. Coco spoke to International Business Times, India, regarding her journey on "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" Season 2.
International Business Times: What was your reaction when you heard you were invited to join "All Stars" 2?
Coco Montrese: Huh?! Am I being Punk'd? Me? Wow okay! Excited to be a part of Rupaul's chosen few!
IBT: Who is your biggest competition/who are you the biggest fan of in "All Stars" 2?
Coco: My biggest competition I would say [is] Katya and I just love Adore
IBT: What was your approach to doing the competition differently this time around?
Coco: I'm always in competition with myself, so my approach was to explore and be not only the Coco they have never seen before, but a Coco I've never seen before as well. Like Madonna, "reinvention" always evolving.
