After garnering a tremendous response from the audience all over India, superstar Mohanlal's Pulimurugan has hit the screens in the UAE and GCC on November 3. The action thriller has been opened to fabulous response on the opening day at the overseas market with housefull shows where most of the tickets were sold out prior to its release.

It is understood that the Vysakh-directorial enjoyed 630 shows on the first day, breaking the records of Rajinikanth's Kabali and Salman Khan's Sultan, which had 425 and 225 shows, respectively, on its opening day at the UAE and GCC region. Thus, Pulimurugan has created another record of having the biggest number of shows on its releasing day among the Indian movies. Though the official collection figures are not revealed, the movie had performed well on the opening day and is expected to continue its good run during the weekend in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, Pulimurugan, which also stars Lal, Jagapathi Babu, Vinu Mohan, Bala and Kamalini Mukherjee in significant roles, has already become the biggest grossing Malayalam movie in Kerala. After completing four weeks of its success run at the Kerala box office, the Mohanlal-starrer has earned a gross collection of more than Rs 60 crore from all over the state. The movie has collected Rs 3.98 lakhs on the 28th Day and raking in a total of Rs 2.98 crore from six multiplexes in Kochi. It has also been performing well in the rest of India.

With an unstoppable business, trade analysts expect Pulimurugan to become the first Malayalam movie to enter the prestigious Rs 100 crore club within weeks. They predict that the thriller will make a business of approximately Rs 75 crore from Kerala alone and the remaining from other parts of the world.

The makers have also revealed that the Telugu dubbed version of the movie, titled Manyam Puli, will hit the screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on November 11. It is also believed to make wonders at the Tollywood box office as Mohanlal is also basking in the success of the Telugu movies Janatha Garage and Manamantha.
