Sony has announced that Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom, a JRPG will be coming for PS4 in 2016. This game will be the sequel to the 2013's Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, which was a collaborative attempt from developer Level-5 and famous animation house, Studio Ghibli ("Spirited Away").

The announcement was made as part of the recently held PlayStation Experience event. This will be a PS4 exclusive.

The last game was well received by the critics and fans but some have advised its developers to avoid some of the mistakes in this edition. Forbes pointed that "Japanese artwork and characterization blurs the line between male and female" and it is difficult to make the differentiation since a woman voices for him.

The last game had "frequent combat" and many loading scenes that become "tedious."

Nevertheless, the newly announced game, Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom lets players make the journey with Evan, a boy king, after being usurped and the darkness overpowering his kingdom. He will be accompanied with Roland and he will have many others in his party. He has to take back the kingdom and fight the darkness.

The animated sequences will be given out by Studio Ghibli, something that the studio has excelled in.

The game's publisher, Bandai Namco has not revealed the release dates for the game yet.
