After shedding weight, courtesy a strict diet and workouts, actress Namitha is all set to stage a comeback to films with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's much-awaited project "Pullimurugan".
The news broke out after Namitha's selfies with Mohanlal went viral on social media platforms on Sunday, 13 September.
Even though Namitha's role in the film has not been revealed yet, it is believed that she will have a significant role in the film, which is being helmed by Vysakh, who is known for his films "Cousins", "Mallu Singh", "Pokkiri Raja" and "Seniors", among others.
The upcoming action film has actress Kamalinee Mukherjee opposite the superstar. "Pulimurugan" also has Suraj Venjaramoodu, Bala, Vinu Mohan and Kishore in pivotal roles.
Earlier, there were reports that "Pulimurugan" will have Tamil actor Prabhu in a significant role. If the report is true, Prabhu and Mohanlal will be sharing screen space together after the classic movie "Kalapani" that was released in 1996.
While the screenplay of "Pulimurugan" has been penned by Udayakrishna, the background score and soundtrack will be composed by Gopi Sunder. The cinematography is being handled by Shaji and the film will be produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam under the banner of Mulakupadam Films.
Earlier in August, the makers had released the first-look poster of Mohanlal in the film. "Pulimurugan" is scheduled to be released worldwide in 2016.
