Consumer electronics giant, Samsung is reportedly planning to release the metal-clad Galaxy Alpha this week in India.

The company has begun sending out invites for the 'Next Generation Stylephone' launch event in New Delhi on 27 September, reported BGR India.

The cryptic message 'Next Generation Stylephone' does not give away any hint, rather only confirms a new phone launch. But, if we read between the phrase, we find similarity with the statement made in the Galaxy Alpha launch in August. [Full report, HERE]

The company had said - "Samsung has taken a fresh approach to design with the Galaxy Alpha. Created to help consumers express their unique style without sacrificing functionality, the refined Galaxy Alpha features a sophisticated design with a metal frame, elegantly curved corners and a tactile soft back cover." (Read full press release, HERE).

Considering the above statement, we believe that the Saturday's (27 September) event is most certain to witness the official release of metal-clad Galaxy Alpha in India.

Even the company had confirmed (full report, HERE) to release the Galaxy Alpha in select markets this month.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha sports a 4.7-inch super AMOLED HD (1280x720p) screen and flaunts metal frame around the edge giving a premium touch to the smartphone.

Under the hood, it ships with Android v4.4.4 KitKat OS, 2.5GHz Snapdragon quad-core CPU /Octa-core processor -1.8GHz quad-core + 1.3GHz quad-core (depending on the region), 2GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt memory (not expandable).

Other stipulated features include 12.0-megapixel camera (with LED flash, 4K @ 30 fps video recording ability, HDR, Selective Focus and more), 2.1-megapixel snapper on the front and a 1,860 mAh battery.

Just like the marquee smartphone Galaxy S5, the new phone too boasts of value added features such as fingerprint sensors, heart rate monitor, download booster with MIMO (2 x 2) Wi-Fi, ultra-saving mode and private mode.

The only missing feature is the IP67 water-resistant-and-dust-repellant certifications. However, all-in-all, the phone does have enough tricks in its sleeve to match Apple iPhone 6. [For more information on iPhone 6 specifications, click HERE]
