"Longmire" Season 5 has been confirmed by Netflix, but there is still no update on an official premiere date. However, it is understood that the show-runners had an open casting call in January, meaning they may have just started shooting for Season 5, putting the premiere date in late 2016.

Season 4 of "Longmire" had ended on an eerie note, with a group of intruders entering Walt's (Robert Taylor) house just as he was having an intimate moment with his new love interest, Dr Donna Monahan (Ally Walker). Many fans believed she would make a wonderful pair for the sheriff, and even voted on our poll that they would like to see the two of them together in the long run.

A group of fan theories suggests Donna is in fact working with Walker Browning (Callum Keith Rennie), and could be the mastermind behind all the attacks. Walker has many reasons to go after Walt, and considering his hospital bed is empty, it is clear he is the mystery door-kicker from the Season 4 finale.

However, some fans feel the intruder could be Branch Connally (Bailey Chase), one of Donna's patients and also her son. One of the most outlandish theories to come from the group of fans is Donna is the woman behind the black veil at Barlow Connally's (Gerald McRaney) funeral and that she has been treating her son and has been fiercely protecting his identity since then.

Meanwhile, "Longmire" fans have been adamant about not wanting to see Vic and Walt as a couple, even though the "Walt Longmire Mysteries" has a romantic storyline. In fact, 302 of the 1,050 people that voted on our poll had said either Vic is too immature for Walt or they have more of a father-daughter vibe than a romantic one.

Trumping those votes, however, are the 582 fans who said "Longmire" should follow the books and Vic and Walt should be together in Season 5.
