It has approximately earned Rs. 86.85 from the overseas centres to take its first weekend total to Rs. 211.25 crore.

Industry experts feel that the movie should cross Rs. 300 crore mark in order to gain profits for the distributors and exhibitors. Going by the current trend, the film is expected to collect that much in the next few days.

However, experts also point out that the response that "Kabali" received in the first weekend is primarly because of the hype that was created for the  film prior to its release. It has to be seen how the movie will perform from Monday onwards.

Meanwhile, the makers are said to have decided to reduce the run-time of the film after a section of fans criticised the movie for its slow narration.
