Be it about relationships or films, rumours are part of the entertainment industry in India as well as abroad.

While some celebs do not react to fake stories, there are a few who are not ready to accept any rumour about them.

Bollywood's newbies, including Sonakshi Sinha, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan and others, have slammed the media for cooking up stories about them or their friends.

Sonakshi Sinha

Reports were doing the rounds during Arpita Khan's wedding that Salman Khan made his "Dabangg" co-star cry following a heated argument. Soon, Sonakshi took to Twitter to slam the reporter and the media house for publishing the fake story about her.

Ranveer Singh

"Ram-leela" actor Ranveer Singh has also slammed a leading daily for writing a fake story about the actor's depression and personal tragedy. He also called the matter as a "classic case of utterly IRRESPONSIBLE JOURNALISM."

Yo @dna @TusharrJoshi @SaritaTanwar ... That was uncool, uncalled for and an outright disrespectful imposition.Talk...

Varun Dhawan

After Varun Dhawan's "Badlapur" was released, reports were doing the rounds with the actor's quote that the film will enter ₹100 crore club.

"It will be a make or break year for me. I know we are underdogs but if Badlapur works then it will be entering to a Rs 100 crore club. I just want the audience to like the film."

But Varun later tweeted saying it wasn't his quote. However, the tweet has now been removed from the micro-blogging site.

There's is an article doing the rounds where I have been misquoted I have not spoken about the 100 cr clubnand badlapur entering it

Shilpa Shetty

In 2013, Shilpa Shetty had slammed the media for misreporting stories about her husband Raj Kundra in connection with the IPL Spot fixing case.

 Hrithik Roshan

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan's divorce with ex-wife Sussanne Khan was one of the most shocking news in 2014. Following the announcement of their split, Hrithik had slammed the media for digging up deep on his personal matters and for cooking up fabricated news articles.

Arjun Rampal

After Hrithik-Sussanne's divorce made headlines, there were reports about Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jessia's divorce. The "Roy" actor was quick to trash the rumours and criticised media for such fake news. He had also decided to refuse any personal interviews with any media person.

Sunny Leone

Even porn star-turned-Bollywood actress Sunny Leone lost her temper over certain stories, carried by the media, which were not true.

During the promotion of her film "Ek Paheli Leela", the actress was asked about her version of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's blockbuster song 'Dholi Taro' in the film. Even though she responded she doesn't want to be compared to such a big star, it was fabricated and was published that she hates Aishwarya.
