"Into the Badlands" Season 1 ended last month. However, the show's creators and cast are all set with their plans for Season 2.

There has been no official confirmation from AMC regarding "Into the Badlands" Season 2 yet. Nevertheless, given that the series had a viewership of about 4 million, there is a significant possibility that the fans will get to see the next phase of Sunny's (Daniel Wu) and MK's (Aramis Knight) journey, reported TV Series Finale.

Creators Miles Millar and Alfred Gough have said Season 2 would emphasise on Sunny's and MK's search for enlightenment, even though both of them are professional assassins. "The price of redemption is going to be steep," Millar said.

"Even though Sunny and MK look like they're being taken far away, Sunny's goal will be to get back to Veil and find MK. Ultimately, it becomes what the series is called, 'Into the Badlands'," said Gough.

Gough also talked about other plans for the series. He said more Barons and abbots would be included in the next season, and new regions of the Badlands would be explored in Season 2.

Baron Quinn (Marton Csokas) was killed by Sunny in the finale episode of "Into the Badlands" Season 1. However, the creators have hinted that he might not be dead, and given that the Baron is a survivor, the story could go either way.

Quinn was killed in Season 1 as the show was not supposed to return with another season. However, now that the possibility of Season 2 is quite high, Quinn might be alive and return.

In the meantime, Sunny has promised himself he won't kill anyone ever again. However, things turned violent and gory in the final episodes of Season 1. Hence, it is very unlikely that Sunny will keep his promise in Season 2.
