Among the Eid releases in Kerala, Asif Ali and Biju Menon's romantic family entertainer "Anuraga Karikkin Vellam" has been receiving amazing response from movie-goers for being a feel good movie. The Khalid Rahman-directed film, which had locked horns with Mammootty's "Kasaba" at the Kerala box office upon their release on July 7, has now emerged as the winner at multiplexes in Kochi.

The family entertainer "Anuraga Karikkin Vellam" is said to have crossed Rs. 1 crore mark at the Kochi multiplexes by minting approximately Rs. 1.05 crore within 18 days of its release. The latest collection figures would make the Asif and Rajisha Vijayan-starrer the biggest grosser at the multiplexes in Kochi among the Eid 2016 releases. According to BookMyShow website, "Anuraga Karikkin Vellam" has more than 30 shows per day at multiplexes in Kochi, while "Kasaba" has only four shows per day. The total Kerala gross collection of the film is said to be Rs 7.90 crore within 18 days of its release.
