Ranbir Kapoor starrer "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" is doing exceptionally well in international market also. The romantic film is not only breaking records in India, but also in the overseas market.
Directed by Ayan Mukherji, the film in two days collected ₹3.35 crore from the UK, New Zealand and Australia box offices.
The film also starring Deepika Padukone in the lead roles has smashed the records of "Barfi!" which collected ₹2.83 crore in its opening weekend from three countries, and also that of "Rockstar" which collected ₹2.22 crore in three days.
"YJHD" has also shattered the records of 'Dabangg 2" which collected ₹3.08 crore in two days from the UK, New Zealand and Australia box offices.
The opening weekend overseas collection of "Race 2" (UK, NZ and Australia) is ₹4.38 crore and to beat that "YJHD" requires approximately ₹1 crore.
The romantic film is taking the US and Canada box offices by storm on the opening day. The flick raked in ₹1.90 crore ($ 334,678) from 119 locations. The collections from 43 locations were not reported.
The film is now set to emerge as the biggest weekend opener of 2013 in the Indian and overseas box offices.
