"Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" actress Anita Hassanandani aka Shagun, unlike most, ringed in her 35th birthday (14 April) with husband Rohit Reddy amid the cozy valleys of Nepal.
The couple posted glimpses from their exotic trip on Instagram, and clearly they look like they are enjoying every bit of it. Their trip is also laced with quick pit-stops at popular food joints.
Talking to Asian Age, Reddy said each plans a surprise for the other's special day. "On every birthday, we try to outdo each other by planning something special. Her birthday is coming up and even she doesn't know what I have planned," he said.
Interestingly, this time the special birthday gift happened to be a shower that too by an elephant. Posting a clip on the photo-sharing site, he wrote, "Anitas bday gift coming up!! She finally gets her 'annual' shower ... That too from an elephant!! Hahaha," and added, "Bungee Jumping and Tandem Swing at 'The Last Resort' ... Adrenaline rush for a gift on Anitas bday."
The couple got married in October, 2013 and have been inseparable since.
"Our wedding was a superb bash. We organized everything ourselves, from the card design to the car. We were all drunk at the sangeet and dancing on the bar top. Normally at weddings everything is so formal but ours was chilled out," Reddy reminisced.
Anita, on the other hand, told Deccan Chronicle how she appreciated the South Indian saree given to her by her in-laws.
The TV actress' co-star and friend Divyanka Tripathi wished her on Instagram with a photo of the pair.
