The Redmi Note 5 Pro was launched in India in late February, and the feature-rich mid-range phone has been under short supply ever since. Xiaomi, despite opening multiple factory units in the country, couldn't bridge the gap between demand and supply. But, now it is all stocked up on several online outlets and even brick-and-mortar stores.
Xiaomi confirmed the news on Twitter that Redmi Note 5 Pro open sale is now live on Flipkart, mi.com, and also at Mi Homes in select cities in India. Consumers can now purchase the feature-rich camera phone at a local store and needn't wait for the weekly flash sale.
For those unaware, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro sports a stunning 5.99-inch full HD+ (2160x1080p) FullView screen with 18:9 aspect ratio and high-grade metallic shell on the back. The shell not only brings stability to the structure but also exudes premium feel.
Under-the-hood, it comes packed with powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core backed by 4GB/6GB RAM, 64 GB storage and 4,000mAh battery.
As far as the photography hardware is concerned, the Redmi Note 5 Pro house feature-rich dual cameras— a primary 12MP shooter with Sony IMX486, 1,25µm pixel size, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) and a 5MP secondary snapper with Samsung sensor, 1.12µm, f/2.0 aperture. They are assisted by dual-tone LED flash in low-light condition.
On the front, it features a 20MP with Sony IMX376 sensor, f/2.2 aperture, full HD (1080p) and LED flash.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is competing against the Asus Zenfone Max Pro (M1), Tecno Camon iClick, Honor 9N and Moto G6 series, among others.
