The Indian premium flagship smartphone space has grown competitive with new entries from brands like OnePlus, Huawei, Honor, and Asus, but it doesn't stop there. The renowned Chinese brand, Xiaomi, which has made quite a name for itself in India is challenging its rivals in the flagship segment with an entirely new sub-brand named Poco.

Xiaomi has been building the necessary hype for its upcoming Poco F1 aka Pocophone F1 that is aimed at taking on OnePlus 6, Asus Zenfone 5Z and Huawei Nova 3. The official unveiling of the Pocophone F1 is scheduled for August 22, but Xiaomi has teased some key features and there have been several leaks and rumours about the phone's features ahead of the grand launch.

The official Twitter handle for Poco India has been quite busy with teasers of late. Most recently, Xiaomi shared some camera samples shot on Poco F1, showing some incredible low-light capabilities. If the rumours are to be believed, the Pocophone F1 could sport dual rear cameras with 12MP+5MP sensors and a 20MP single lens on the front. Check out some shots, which Poco claims are shot on Poco F1.

It is quite clear that the rear cameras will feature AI integration as the colours appear saturated. But the end result seems satisfying as greener leaf and bluer sky make the photos really pop.

While sharing the camera samples, Poco India also confirmed that the Poco F1 will sport a notch. This was revealed when the company hinted at the presence of "night vision" on the upcoming smartphone. The notch is clearly seen in the image, so are the sensors within, which confirms 3D face unlock support to unlock the phone even under low light condition.

Poco India has also confirmed that the Poco F1 will be exclusively available on Flipkart. The first sale date along with launch offers will be revealed at the launch on August 22. Reports suggest disruptive pricing for the Poco F1, which would be around Rs 25,000 for 6GB+128GB configuration. If true, it could pose a serious threat to OnePlus 6, Huawei Nova 3 and similarly priced phones.

While Xiaomi's Pocophone is trying to keep the rest of the specs a secret, recent leaks on Geekbench and unboxing video by Slashleaks have given away the element of surprise. Based on those leaks, the Pocophone F1 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with "LiquidCool Technology," which is designed to control the thermal even during extended gaming sessions.

The leaked benchmarking tests showed the Pocophone F1 beat Asus Zenfone 5Z and OnePlus 6 - both of which are powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset. The handset is also expected to come with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, which is said to come in special grey, blue, gradient and Kevlar options.

Other features include a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display, USB Type-C port for charging the 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0 and other standard connectivity options.
