The wait for Xiaomi Mi 5 has been stretched for months, but the fans' eagerness hasn't got lost. It appears like the release date of the device is not far off as several details, including major specifications, have been leaked.

Xiaomi Mi 5 has been in the news since July this year, with reports suggesting that it might be released in August; but it never materialised. It was rumoured to be arriving in September and then in November, but this news didn't turn out to be true. Now, Gizmo China has reported that the Xiaomi Mi 4 successor will be unveiled in January 2016 and be released on 8 February.

The release date of the device has not been confirmed. Xiaomi's CEO Lei Jun had earlier said that Xiaomi Mi 5 is "worth waiting for", according Tech Sina (via GForGames).
