Xiaomi's yet-to-be-released smartphone Mi 4i has been spotted at a benchmarking site revealing the key specifications of the device ahead of its India launch later this month.
Chinese technology blog My Drivers while sifting through the GeekBench, stumbled upon the Xiaomi Mi 4i, understood to be the rumoured device code-named 'Ferrari', which was spotted last month at another benchmarking site GFX.
It stems from the fact that the device specifications seen in the database are identical to the Xiaomi Ferrari. It sports 4.9-inch full HD display and is expected to ship with 64-bit class Snapdragon 615 series Octa-core SoC (System on Chip), Adreno 405 graphics engine, 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage.
On the photography front, it houses 12mp camera with LED flash, auto-focus, HDR, touch-focus full HD video recording ability and a 5mp snapper on the front with full video recording ability.
Word on the street is Xiaomi is planning to introduce this new mid-range phone Mi4i and position it between the budget models (Redmi 2 and Redmi Note 4G) and the top-end category (Mi4 and Mi Note series).
Even the teaser image published by Xiaomi India last week came with the a tag "I is Coming", leading many to believe that the upcoming device is Xiaomi Mi 4i.
The company has confirmed it will host the global Mi-series phone launch event in New Delhi on 23 April to be presided over by Xiaomi co-founder and president Bin Lin.
Once released in India, Xiaomi Mi 4i will be up against the Micromax YU Yureka, Microsoft Lumia 640, Motorola Moto G (2 Gen), Huawei Honor 4X and soon to be released Lenovo A7000, Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE550ML).
