WWE star John Cena, who has been away from the ring for a long day owing to his Hollywood commitments, is all set to make a comeback. John Cena has been confirmed for a Miz TV segment at a live event. While this does not confirm his participation on SmackDown yet, but it could well be a significant hint.

John Cena has been working with legendary actor Jacke Chan for a flick in China. However, he was part of a Super Show-Down in a tag team match in Melbourne recently. His return will certainly boost the stakes of SmackDown as several wrestlers are battling injury. Brawn Strowman's future remains rather uncertain with an injured hand, while Roman Reigns has walked away for the time being to battle leukaemia.

If reports on Wrestling.inc is to be believed, Cena will be a star attraction in a big WWE Live Event at Long Island in New York on December 27. He will also feature as a guest on Miz TV.

Interestingly, Cena and Miz TV have had a slightly sketchy relationship and the WWE superstar could be the butt of a few jokes on the show where it could be alleged that he does not value the ring anymore and that it is only a part-time commitment for him.

They had quite an altercation with their partners back in the day when Cena has asked Nikki Bella to marry him.

Cena would be this year's recipient of the publication's Muhammad Ali Legacy Award. Responding to the announcement last month, he put out a thankful Tweet on Twitter: "To be considered part of Muhammad Ali's legacy and be added to this incredible list of athletes is something I never dreamed could be possible. Thank you for this honour. I'll do my best to live up to its reputation."
