The much-talked about mysterious unidentified flying object (UFO), known as the WT1190F aka WTF, is expected to crash into the Indian Ocean tonight, which happens to be Friday the 13th, a day considered inauspicious.

The WT1190F UFO has no connection with aliens whatsoever (in case conspiracy theorists link it to extraterritorial beings) as experts suspect the mysterious object to be a rocket body or a piece of space junk.

Some religious conspiracy theorists have linked the WTF object with Friday the 13th,claiming that something disastrous could happen but this proposition is baseless with no scientific basis. In fact, the mass of the object is too small that it may disappear in the atmosphere even before it reaches the earth's surface.

"The object is quite small, at most a couple of metres in diameter, and a significant fraction if not all of it can be expected to completely burn up in the atmosphere," said Tim Flohrer from European Space Agency's (ESA) Space Debris Office at the ESOC operations centre in Darmstadt, Germany.

"NEO (near-earth object) experts have used observational data to estimate the object's density, which turns out to be much less than that of the solid rocky material that comprises many asteroids," said Detlef Koschny from ESA's Space Situational Awareness (SSA) programme office.

Well, the mysterious object is expected to light up the skies as it plummets into the Indian Ocean on Friday. Scientists and researchers are eagerly waiting for it to enter the earth's atmosphere as they can improve the knowledge of objects' endurance with the atmosphere.

Where to watch WT1190F aka WTF UFO live
