Rajinikanth's "Kabali" mania has not affected Salman Khan's "Sultan" at the box office. The Salman-Anushka Sharma starrer witnessed only 39 percent drop in the beginning of  the third-week at the box office.

The sports drama minted Rs. 2.14 crore on its 17th day at the box office collection, which took its overall nett box office collection to Rs. 280.10 crore. "Sultan" has now inching towards the Rs. 300 crore nett club in India, which features only two movies until now. If "Sultan" crosses Rs. 300 crore mark at the box office then it will be Salman and Anushka's second film to enter the club. Aamir Khan-Anushka's "PK" and Salman-Kareena Kapoor Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" are the top grossers with a box office collection of Rs. 340.8 crore and Rs. 320.34 crore, respectively.

"#Sultan [Week 3] Fri 2.14 cr. Total: ₹ 280.10 cr. India biz," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

While in India the film is approaching the Rs. 300 crore mark, at the overseas box office the film is set to beat "My Name Is Khan." The Salman-Anushka starrer has earned $ 21.65 million until now from the overseas market and is $1.85 million short of beating "My Name Is Khan" record.

"#Sultan - OVERSEAS - Week 2: $ 21.65 million [₹ 145.49 cr]. AWESOME" trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, adding: "#Sultan - OVERSEAS [key markets] - Week 2: USA-CANADA: $ 5.60 mn UAE-GCC: $ 7.88 mn UK-IRELAND: $ 2.09 mn PAKISTAN: $ 2.80 mn."
