After hopes for a new season of "The Legend of Korra" were shattered, fans of the show have come up with an idea of a spin-off movie on Korra and Asami Sato's relationship. They have urged Netflix to explore the Lesbian couple and give a new dimension to "Avatar: The Last Airbender" sequel.

The petition filed by an unknown user on iPetitions.com stated that the controversial finale of Season 4 has opened a new gateway of possibilities to future shows as well as Avatar sequels.

"After an amazing finale to 'The Legend of Korra', it was implied and confirmed by the creators that Korra and Asami had entered into a Lesbian relationship within the final episode of the show. This is a huge step in American animation," stated the user.

He even wrote that Netflix is the best medium to telecast the movie as it provides viewers an opportunity to watch the series privately "without parents of younger audience who do not support gay rights having a problem being on TV."

Through the adventures of Korra and Asami, the on-demand internet streaming media provider can gain profits from both views and new members, stated the petitioner.

"Netflix is known for having exclusive shows like House of Cards and the upcoming Marvel Projects, and this spin off would guarantee profits," he wrote.

Although the petition has only a few supporters, there are several speculations doing the rounds that the live streaming media provider will release the spin-off movie in 2016. However, Netflix is yet to make any official announcement about their take on the film.
