Dance prodigy Maddie Ziegler's birthday party was a smashing success. The "Dance Moms" star was stunned and surprised by a group of two dozen people who turned down her invitation for dinner but showed up at her favourite restaurant to serenade her with gifts and shower her with love. Soon after, Maddie uploaded pictures from the night on her Instagram account.

While the young star seemed happy with her besties, Kendall Vertes and Nia Frazier, we couldn't help but notice the conspicuous absence of former "Dance Moms" cast member, Chloe Lukasiak.

Chloe and Maddie were fierce competitors and often pitted as rivals on the show. In a recent interview with In Touch Weekly, Maddie said, "Chloe and I are still friends". Her mother Melissa added that Chloe is invited whenever her daughter travels the world with her "Dance Mom" co-stars, Nia, Kendall and McKenzie.

However, the two don't seem to see much of each other ever since Chloe left the show at the end of Season 4. In the interview, Maddie said that Chloe does her own thing and they don't spend time together when they aren't filming.

An article on Bustle claimed, "Though the Dance Moms drama did not immediately break off the girls' connection, it seems like they slowly drifted apart soon after. Both girls have admitted that they do not keep in touch, but don't think this means there is bad blood between them. Honestly, it looks like they simply grew apart emotionally after being apart physically for such a long time."

Meanwhile, a recent news report by Yibada suggests that Chloe is still recuperating from her recent eye surgery. Perhaps this is the reason why the former "Dance Moms" star didn't get invited to Maddie's birthday party.

The "Dance Moms" Season 6 premiere date is yet to be announced by Lifetime.
