Mohanlal fans all over Kerala are now awaiting the release of the star's big budget movie 'Odiyan' which will grace the big screens on December 14, 2018. The recent news about the movie is regarding megastar Mammootty's special role in this project. Shrikumar Menon, director of Odiyan recently confirmed that Mammootty has given his voice in the film as a narrator.
Shrikumar Menon also shared a photo of him with Mammootty on his social networking handle and revealed that Mammootty has lent his voice for 'Odiyan'.
"Thank you Mammukkka. Its a dream come true moment for all of us. Now with your captivating and thundering voice, our Odiyan is complete. Gratitude in abundance" wrote Shrikumar Menon.
As Mammootty has also become a part of 'Odiyan', hype surrounding the movie has now reached new heights, and it is expected to reflect in the initial collection of the flick.
'Odiyan' is a fantasy thriller based on the life of a group of hired goons who have the ability to shape-shift. Myths surrounding 'Odiyan' are popular in Palakkad folklore, and interestingly, director Shrikumar Menon has shot the film exclusively in Thenkurissi, a rural village in Palakkad. A few other scenes were shot in Varanasi, Vagamon, and Athirapally.
Manju Warrier plays the female lead in 'Odiyan'. The supporting star cast includes Prakash Raj, Innocent, Siddique, Nandu and Narain. Sam CS has composed the background score for the film, and through 'Odiyan', the young composer is making his debut in Malayalam. Sam has previously worked in acclaimed flicks like 'Vikram Vedha', 'Iravukku Aayiram Kangal' and NOTA.
'Odiyan' is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. Makers of the movie are planning to release 'Odiyan' in a record number of theatres around the world.
