Manchester United have a huge season ahead of them as they have commenced with their new era under Jose Mourinho. Ever since he has joined Manchester United, he has made quite a number of impressive signings in the form of Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and now Paul Pogba is inching closer to a move to Old Trafford as well.

Ibrahimovic hogged the limelight after he decided to join Manchester United ahead of the next season. And he will be donning the no.9 jersey at the club. Skipper Wayne Rooney is looking forward to form a formidable pair with the former Swedish international.

Rooney is definitely aware of the magnitude of Ibrahimovic and he is hopeful that he will be able to bring the Premier League back at United at the end of the current season along with him.

"I am looking forward to it. I think he has been one of the best strikers in world football over the last 10 years and he has always won trophies everywhere he has been," Rooney was quoted as saying by MUTV.

"He is a huge character so I am looking forward to getting back, training with him and hopefully forming a good partnership and being successful together."

Rooney is currently a part of the United squad, which was touring China for the preseason matches. However, Ibrahimovic was not added to the squad as he was given an extended leave after Euro 2016.

The former PSG striker could make his unofficial debut for the Red Devils against Galatasaray on July 30, which will be played in front of his home crowd in Gothenburg, Sweden.
