Things cannot get any better in the Pakistan Super League with table toppers, Quetta Galdiators set to take on second placed Peshawar Zalmi in Sharjah in a huge encounter on Sunday.

The top of the table clash is expected to be a humdinger of a contest with an array of stars present in both the teams. If Quetta have players like Kevin Pietersen, Luke Wright and Umar Gul, Peshawar also have world-class players such as Shaid Afridi, Wahab Riaz and Shaun Tait.

Both the teams with some quality cricket so far in the PSL deserves to stand on top half of the table. Quetta have been the standout team in the PSL with their impressive wins in the competition. They have only lost once in the PSL, but they are aware of the huge task against Peshawar, who will be more than determined to deliver the goods on Sunday to tie on points with Quetta for top spot.

The match on Sunday could well be a head-to-head clash between the Peshawar bowlers and Quetta batsmen. Quetta have one of the strongest batting line up in the competition with Wright and Ahmed Shehzad opening the innings, followed by Pietersen and Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Wright and Shehzad have been their best batsmen, scoring 169 and 195 runs, respectively, so far in the PSL. However, their major problem has been Pietersen's lack of consistency in the series. The Englishman needs to fire against Peshawar and send a strong signal across to other teams.

These batsmen are going to be strongly tested by Peshawar quickies, Junaid Khan, Riaz and Tait. If the trio gets their line and length correct, they are sure to trouble the Quetta batsmen. With Afridi in their ranks, they have a right mix of pace and spin bowlers in their team as well.

On the batting front, Peshawar will depend on batsmen such as Tamim Iqbal, who have been the best batsmen in the PSL, scoring 267 runs in the competition. Quetta bowler Umar Gul with his experience is going to play an important role for the team as he is a brilliant T20 bowler.

When these two sides met last in the competition, an entertaining match was witnessed, which went down right to the wire and Quetta emerged victorious by three wickets with one ball to spare. After having lost such a close game, Peshawar will be eager to take revenge on Sunday.
