The Masters Champions League (MCL) T20 2016 now shifts to Sharjah. Libra Legends will face Virgo Super Kings in Match No. 6 of the MCL T20 2016 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Both sides are coming into this match after losing their opening fixtures. Legends were thrashed by Virender Sehwag-led Gemini Arabians by 78 runs, while the Super Kings suffered a comprehensive 26-run defeat at the hands of the Adam Gilchrist-captained Sagittarius Strikers.

Legends could not do much in their opening game as Sehwag and Richard Levi got off to a flier. Kumar Sangakkara continued with the onslaught and went on to score 86 from 43 balls. Brad Hodge went hammer and tongs as well to power the Arabians to a mammoth total of 234/3 in 20 overs.

It was obvious that the target was going to  be way too much for the Legends and they could only manage 156/8 at the end of their allotted 20 overs, thereby suffering a big defeat. The Jacques Kallis-led Libra Legends will look to bounce back strongly in their second game Virgo Super Kings and earn those two points on Friday.

However, things will not be as easy, because the Virgo Super Kings have a strong team on paper, and they will also be desperate to register their first win of the MCL T20 2016.

Unfortunately, none of Super Kings' recognised batsmen could make an impact in their opening game against the Strikers. Skipper Graeme Smith was out for a duck and the rest of the batting lineup crumbled like a house of cards. Azhar Mahmood and Brett Lee showed some character with their willows, adding 52 runs together. Mahmood's quickfire fifty, though, went in vain.

Lee came in handy with the ball as well. The former Australian pacer bagged a couple of scalps and conceded 29 runs in his spell of four overs. He will look to put up a similar performance against the Libra Legends on Tuesday.

Legends opening pair Michael Lumb and Kallis should get them off to a flier considering their experience and abilities. Both players were playing in the recently concluded Big Bash League. Lumb was a regular member of the Sydney Sixers and Kallis played a crucial role for the Sydney Thunder, who were crowned the champions of Big Bash League last month.
